Position Overview:
As a Medical Assistant at Champion Healthcare, you'll be a critical part of our clinical team. You’ll support healthcare providers by performing both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless, patient-focused experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care while growing your skills in a collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring their comfort and privacy.
  • Accurately record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant details in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Assist healthcare providers during exams and treatments, including preparing equipment, instruments, and supplies.
  • Perform basic clinical procedures such as venipuncture, wound care, injections, and EKGs while adhering to established safety protocols.
  • Administer medications and vaccines under provider direction, documenting all actions per policy.
  • Educate patients on medication instructions, health maintenance, and follow-up care, addressing questions and concerns.
  • Collect and label laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring proper handling and preparation.
  • Manage scheduling, referrals, and patient records while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment, following strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care and communicate treatment plans effectively.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a medical assistant training program or equivalent education/training.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, basic clinical procedures, and EHR systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
